Where it Began

It all started on the shores of Maho Bay in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Co-founders Alex and Kris Anderson came up with the idea for a sunglass brand that would stand the test of time but wouldn’t break the bank. The ocean waves snagged one too many pairs of expensive sunnies for this duo. They began designing affordable sunglasses made from premium materials, with designs inspired by some of their favorite people and places. And just like that, Maho Shades was born.

Today, Maho is more than a sunglass brand, it’s a lifestyle. One of good vibes and making the most of adventures large and small. Bold, independent and uninhibited, Maho stands for timeless design and premium materials from sunglasses to apparel. So kick back or gear up – good vibes are all around.

Where We Are Now

Born in the Virgin Islands, raised in Orange Beach. Maho is headquartered in the vibrant Alabama beach town on the Gulf of Mexico. From design inception to packaging your orders, it's all completed with care behind the scenes at the Maho flagship store in The Wharf.
